The members of Moreshet have built a community with a lifestyle guided by the light of Torah and the classical Zionist ideal. Secular and religious aspects of life are united, based upon the ideals of the love of Eretz Yisrael, the love of the Jewish people from all walks of life and tradition, and the love of Torah.
The members of Moreshet are religious Zionist families, who have served their country in the army and other national services. Many have Yeshiva backgrounds with additional academic education in fields such as engineering, finance, law, and education. Members of Moreshet can be found in all fields of religious and secular endeavors. Most of the members are between the ages of 20-40 years old.
Members of Moreshet are active in the many committees. Each committee performs vital activities which serve the Moreshet community and greater Gush Segev population. The Yeshuv boasts a wide variety of activities for children and adults, including Torah classes for adults (Heb) and for youth (Heb), as well as secular activities (Heb) for every age group.
Moreshet is strategically located just 25 minutes from Haifa, and will be 5 minutes from the cross-Israel highway (Route 6). The commute to Haifa, Karmiel, Acco, and the Krayot north of Haifa is very reasonable.
Homes here cost significantly less than in the cities, and the air is clean too.
To learn more about Moreshet, please contact the Yishuv office at Moreshet, D.N. Misgav, 20186, Israel, Tel: 972-4-999-8978; or e-mail us at: Moreshet
The unity of the Nation of Israel all over the world is what has helped us survive through so many years of exile and this unity is what will give us the strength to rebuild the Land of Israel.
We are determined to continue our struggle. We will not give up, but we need active partners in that fight, partners in the endeavor of building and developing our corner of Eretz Yisroel.
We would like Jews everywhere to consider Elon Moreh as their home in Israel, to visit and to keep in touch even from afar. We would like to send representatives to communities all over the world as well.
| And Avram passed through the land until the place of Shechem, until ELON MOREH, and the Cananite was then in the land. And HASHEM was revealed to Avram, and said: to your descendants I will give this land, and he built an altar there to HASHEM who was revealed to him. Breshit 12: 6-7 | |

New (hard to find) cd......
Finally it's happened! A fantastic girl by the name of Miriam brought it in from the holy land. I have to admit you can tell it's their first cd. But with that being said, you can tell these boys are gonna soar. Every song it beautiful and unique. I plead with you, go to their myspace and give a listen... The second song on the album, 'Lech Lecha' is like nothing you've heard before. A lot of people are throwing out the same words, the same posukim, but what they have done is brought a beat you don't want to get out of your head. The violin is miraculous and the bagpipe in later songs is..from another world.... They are youngsters just going off to the army and I for one wish them all the luck in the world. May they return healthy and safe. May all of our children come home with with the ultimate song of Moshiach.

Song translation
Where I played last Summer
Words and melody by Aaron Razel
Verse 1:
"So where did you play last summer?"
The masses ask me.
"We saw you there with a guitar, on the beaches of the Mediterranean Sea.
How did you get in? How did you get out?"
How was I taken out, to be exact…
It's already winter and it still chokes me up.
I performed with a friend in a park where children will no longer play…
I performed on the grass, how the youth danced… today only winds frolic between the splinters…
We danced together with families around the Shabbat table, homes filled with love and light…
All of this didn't touch/move*1 the bulldozer.
I passed by an empty house, outside sat a woman full of tears that don't understand…
I looked inside and noticed that the people (who packed up their things) managed to write something on the walls before they left.
And no one will ever read what they wrote, because the house was turned into a pile of bones, into a pile of ruins*2.
The writing is on the wall.
Chorus:
So don't ask me where I played last summer
And what I did there on the beaches of the Mediterranean Sea
Between the Lamentations and the Psalms, songs of faith and trust
We sang over and over again until the last moment, the verse and the chorus…
They destroyed the verse/house – the chorus was left*3
Here the chorus crawls between the ruins of concrete
They destroyed the verse/house – the vision was left
They destroyed the walls, the air was left where the window once was, where the dream once was, you can still look out and dream.
Verse 2:
I passed by fences and blockades with my guitar, I said to them (the guards)
"I'm just smuggling in some happy sounds to people going through hard times."
And I played so much that I busted my strings and I don't have the strength, until today, to put new ones on…
And you can play, even when the strings get ripped, if you can rip people from their homes…
Our heart is still ripped to shreds.
I came to a group of teens, I brought them drums and sweets, it was late…
They didn't want anything, just sat around me but they weren't really there, trying hard not to look at tomorrow
Because their home was packed up and their parents had already left, so where does that put them in the world?
I returned to my wife, who was waiting in the car, and we drove to Shirat HaYam*4.
Chorus:
So if already you asked where I played last summer,
I was there on the beaches of the Meditarranean Sea
Between the lamentations and the Psalms, songs of faith and trust
We sang over and over again until the last moment, the verse and the chorus…
They destroyed the verse/house – the chorus was left*3
Here the chorus crawls between the ruins of concrete
They destroyed the verse/house – the vision was left
They destroyed the walls, the air was left where the window once was, where the dream once was, you can still look out and dream.
Verse 3:
But yesterday I saw how they're building a new park right next to my house, right in front of my eyes
And when I played a quiet song for the expellees the next day, they said "give us something upbeat, we wanna dance til the heavens!"
The simple faith that all comes from His hand, gives us the joy…
How can you be sad when you look and see how Jerusalem is growing and being built!
Translation notes:
*1 = didn't "reegesh" – didn't emotionally move – the bulldozer
*2 = here he quoted the Bible, using the words of the prophets to describe mass destruction
*3 = the word in Hebrew "bayit" means both home/house, as well as verse. He's punning that.
*4 = the name of one of the communities of Gush Katif. It means "the Song of the Sea" and is a reference to the Song the Jews sang after crossing the Red Sea

Its 4 a.m.
We walk through life, rushing...everything kinda speeds by in a blur...then things happen...huge, life changing things...these things cause us to slow down and..well..think. Sometimes these are hard times ( G-d forbid). Times that make us count what we do have, after they are over and done with. We end up feeling raw, or more aware or just real, like overcoming this great obstacle almost made us see, what, I don't know, but our eyes are open.
Then there are times, of great joy, when there is a constant song in our heart because of this huge life change. These times keep us grateful to be alive. Our eyes are opened once again, but what we see is very different. Everything seems to slow down and make sense. We become more aware of how beautiful the world really is. You see it in every blade of grass, in every movement the wind makes. And you feel as though your being carried, because everything seems lighter... Im not sure where Im going with this. Maybe the beauty of it all has taken me over. And I need to spill it out before it swallows me whole. I am so thankful and feel so blessed. And its hard to believe but things really can be as good as they seem...

What a show!!!!
Heading down south to the land of the pines.
I’m thumbing my way in the North Caroline.
Staring up the road pray to God I see headlights.
I made it down the coast in seventeen hours,
Picking me a bouquet of dogwood flowers.
And I’m a hopin’ for Raleigh,
I can see my baby tonight.
[Chorus:]
So rock me momma like a wagon wheel,
Rock me momma any way you feel.
Hey momma rock me.
Rock me momma like the wind and the rain,
Rock me momma like a south bound train.
Hey momma rock me
Running from the cold up in New England.
I was born to be a fiddler in an old time string band.
My baby plays a guitar I pick a banjo now,
Oh north country winters keep a getting me,
And I lost my money playing poker so I had to up and leave.
But I ain't turning back and living that old life no more.
[Chorus]
Walkin' to the south out of Roanoke,
I caught a trucker out of Philly had a nice long toke.
But he’s a heading west FROM the Cumberland gap,
From Johnson City, Tennessee.
Now I gotta get a move on before the sun,
I hear my baby calling my name and I know that she’s the only one.
And If I die in Raleigh at least I will die free.
[Chorus]

Where for art thou?
So come, you'll be back in time for biochem on monday, I'll even throw in some stir fry!!! Come on, how can you turn that down?
We stand as one
They were written long ago
Just hum along with me
Its the music of the soul...
Clarity sounds like little bells in the center of Yerushalayim
